Assam black tea, often referred to as Assam tea or Assam, refers to black tea produced in the region of Assam in India. Although the Assam region produces a small amount of green and white tea, the vast majority of tea produced in Assam black teas, and the term “Assam”, when used alone, is synonymous with Assam black tea.
Where the region of Assam?
Assam region is located on the north-east India, in the heart of India, which is mainly surrounded by other countries, although most of the region of Assam is not in itself the borders of these countries. Most of Assam lies in the river valleys, although the area contains several high altitude areas. Although it is relatively close to Darjeeling, Nepal and other parts of the production of high-grown black tea with a lighter nature, most of Assam lower in altitude and different climate. The difference in climate and improving results in a fundamentally different characteristics when compared to Assam to Darjeeling tea, although the two regions are not so far apart geographically.
Assam is generally strong, but can also be smooth:
Typical of Assam is a powerful, robust tea, dark, rich, and with a strong, bitter taste. Its aroma is often described as malty. Many of the Assam tea, as they say, the nuances of chocolate, and nutty, floral, fruity or tones in their aroma, and sometimes with roasted or caramel-like quality as well. Assam black tea, of course, has its own recognizable style, but there is a huge amount of variability Assams.
Assam is often described as a very tannic, which refers to its dark color and a certain type of astringency and bitterness, but the color and amount of bitterness and astringency varies widely.
Many of the senior classes of Assam, and many of the party a real estate Assam tea is very smooth. Some of these high quality teas, even naturally sweet, a little bitterness and astringency, but a complex and very delicate flavor.
Assam Breakfast blend:
Because of its strength, Assam is a favorite ingredient in breakfast blends like English breakfast, but especially the Irish breakfast and Ostfriesentee, breakfast tea from East Friesland in Germany. Irish breakfast and Ostfriesentee often made exclusively from Assam, and even if it is a mixture of Irish breakfast, usually mostly Assam. Pure Assam tea makes an outstanding breakfast, and is one of the best options if you want a classic taste of black tea, breakfast at one origin or one tea estate.
Tippy Assam belongs to the Assam tea, which contains most of the tips leaf buds. Tips and leaf buds is higher in caffeine, which makes Tippy Assam as a favorite ingredient in breakfast blends, as well as the favorite tea breakfast in its own right.
